One of the great things about Chicago is that it is truly a city of neighborhoods.  Each Chicago neighborhood has its own personality and culture.  In fact, I often joke that you can tell where someone lives just by looking at them or talking to them for 30 seconds.

When choosing where to live in Chicago, you really need to get to know the ‘hood.  Here you will find some high level descriptions of what makes each of the most popular Chicago neighborhoods special.  However, the best way to find out if these hoods are where you would like to call home is to visit them.
